- National patent or utility model application with TÜRKPATENT.
- PCT national phase entry in Türkiye, generally within 30 months from the priority date.
- Validation of a granted European patent in Türkiye, including filing the Turkish translation within the prescribed period.
After grant
Annual fees keep a patent in force. We monitor and pay annuities so that your rights do not lapse.
We also handle recordals of assignments and licences, and advise on enforcement against infringing products.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a patent and a utility model?
- A utility model protects inventions with a lower inventive threshold, for 10 years instead of 20, and is usually granted faster. Some subject matter, such as processes, is excluded from utility models.
- Can you validate our European patent in Türkiye?
- Yes. Send us the grant details as early as possible; the translation deadline is strict.
